I have a theory why folks typically argue endlessly without changing minds online, and it comes down to that there simply isn’t enough attachment to the other person. They aren’t “real”. So many are here for acknowledgement, with a self-congratulatory persistent state of glib ennui set deeply into place. But It takes *real, considerate listening* to even hear out opposing perspectives, least of all compare against your own. I don’t think that really happens here much. So... as we approach the election, try to remember that screaming matches do you no good. What does you good? Voting.
