Does anyone else remember when American schools stopped teaching civics? They combined it into social studies and then dropped it. I heard a while back, after I’d begun home schooling my children rather than deal with the nightmare that was public middle school, that they also dropped social studies entirely. Where can I find the curricula or syllabi these days for public schools? Does anyone know the full breakdown of sciences and humanities in high school? Is it as fully standardized as it is presented as being? I’d just like to know what the next generation has been taught. It seems highly relevant to today’s issues.
