Land of La

I did it. I left the woods.

I'm now living at Kat's house, with her and The Kid. It's great fun. We love it.

I've been so busy I've had nary a moment to think about personal blogging.

The twins are doing very well and we're all enjoying LA except that there are so many strange things to say about it that I don't even know where to start.

Does anyone have a few kind words of advice for a newly reborn Los Angelino?

  1. Mr.Pete. Says:

  2. Kat Says:

Omg, you blogged and I didn't even know it!

I don't know if I have advice... I've probably either given it to you already or just sighed and groaned in understanding.

    I'd say...
    1. People here are often self-centered and strange. Just like people in the backwoods are often kinda backwoodsy. That's just how it is. Roll with it.

    2. Lots of other people here are totally radically amazingly creatively incredibly awesome and it makes putting up with those shitheads in #1 well worth it. LA has a wealth of redeeming factors. Like orange sunsets and sparkly lights and best friends, for example.

    3. If you can think with a new set of rules regarding manners - being rude is not rude. It's just how you get from point a to point b. Just be what's considered rude anywhere else and nobody will think twice about it. You'll be in with the in crowd. This only applies to driving, by the way. This is LA. You have to be really nice to people's faces, even if you think they are shitheads. What did you think I was saying? This 'aint New York!

    Let's move.
